BAP406 Broadcast Audio Processor
A fully computerised digital audio processor, FM broadcast analyser and streaming encoder in a single integrated unit. The BAP406 replaces separate limiter and modulator units — and makes your station the loudest, clearest and best possible sounding signal on the band, within minutes of installation.

Sound engine
Multi-band AGC with side-chain, 2 × 9-band compressors/limiters, audio de-clipper, noise and hum removal, three stereo enhancement modes, “True Bass” boost and a final limiter with no clipping.
FM modulation
Built-in MPX stereo encoder, RDS encoder for station name and text on receivers, SCA sub-carrier support and Single Frequency Network translator support — with deviation held safely within licence limits.
Analyser + streaming
Integrated FM analyser with RF monitoring verifies your transmission stays compliant, while the built-in AAC+ client streams your processed sound straight to your streaming server.

Processing & compliance
- Oceania implementation of Stereo Tool by Thimeo — more than a decade of TCOM tuning experience.
- De-clipper, delossifier, noise/hum removal, phasing error correction and equaliser with GUI adjustment.
- Final limiter without clipping, compliant with ITU-R BS-412 where required.
- Prevents over-deviation beyond 75 kHz — protecting your licence while adding around 3 dB of extra headroom.
- Time-schedule based sound adjustments — day/night or program-specific presets.
- AM broadcasters: asymmetric limiting and clipping for powerful sound up to 140% positive peaks.
- Applications: main FM sites, translators (off-air MPX in/out), re-broadcasters and Single Frequency Networks.
Community station packages
Flexible monthly packages put the BAP406 within reach of community broadcasters — including a full 5-year warranty, 3 years of support and HD streaming services, with the equipment yours at the end. Many stations have funded theirs with assistance from the Community Broadcasting Foundation.
