Well known, long time and highly respected community broadcaster, Coast FM (2CCC) from Gosford NSW Australia has purchased TCOM’s BCL406 Broadcast Control Limiter to upgrade the station sound to air and streaming.
Coast FM took advantage of TCOM’s free trial offer to see and hear the BCL406 in action at the station after hearing and seeing the unit in action at the CBAA Conference at Terrigal. Coast FM wanted to hear the difference, if any that the unit provided and determine the its suitability for purchase.
Station Manager, Mr Peter Little, with over 40 years broadcasting experience, was very impressed with the capabilities and the pure powerful sound that the BCL406 provided the station immediately upon installation.
“Finally Coast FM has the sound I’ve been looking for, for years”, said Peter.
“We replaced our original digital signal processor purchased only a few years ago and immediately I could hear and see the difference”, said Peter.
“The BCL did really fix the sound coming out of the studio, making not so good quality MP3 sound amazing”. “We are bright, crisp & clear, powerfully loud and outstanding on the radio now – wow”, said Peter.
Finally Peter was able hear and see what all the fuss was about. The TCOM BCL406 using the worlds favourite digital audio signal processor, Stereo Tool, used by millions of audio perfectionists around the world was now directly modulating the sound to air of Coast FM. The station now also has RDS, presenting the station’s name and branding, directly to modern car and portable radios (eg Android phone FM radios).
After a few weeks into the trial, Peter was so impressed with the capability of the BCL406 and its ability to improve the station’s sound that he called TCOM to say, “Numerous listeners contacted the station and asked what did we do to our signal – we can hear you loud and clear now”. Now with listeners happy with the new sound, the station’s management was convinced that the TCOM BCL406 was not leaving any time soon.
Coast FM has purchased the TCOM BCL406 with the streaming package, allowing for immediate improvement to FM and Internet broadcasting towards listeners. TCOM assisted in adding the online webpage player into the station’s website, allowing listeners to very easily listen to the station without the need for additional software or complexity.
Another happy customer of a TCOM Broadcast Control Limiter.
